Who runs this website

This website belongs to Glam nails by LK, a nail salon at 320 Harrogate Road, Bradford BD2. You can email us at james@tarkawebdesign.com. Our current contact details are always on the contact page.

What we collect and why

The contact form. When you send a message, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. It is stored on the website and emailed to us so that we can reply to you. We keep it until we delete it.

Online booking. When you book an appointment, we collect your name, email address, phone number, any note you add, and the treatment, date and time you choose. We use these to hold your appointment, to send you a confirmation and to contact you about it. We keep a booking until we delete it.

Deposits. When a deposit is taken, you pay on a secure page run by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us, and are never stored on this website. We see that the payment was made and how much it was.

Who looks after the website

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process this information on our behalf and deliver the website’s emails. They do not use it for anything else.

Cookies

The website sets two small cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which keeps the website working while you move between pages, and a security cookie, which protects the forms from misuse.

The website’s own count of visitors is cookieless: it sets nothing in your browser.

If we ever switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags, a banner will ask you first, and nothing is set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email us at the address above and we will help.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
